"Whatever our souls are made of, his and mine are the same" ~ Emily Bronte
Chris and Laurie have been friends since they were teenagers. Life definitely took them in different directions. But while Chris was serving in the United States Army their friendship was rekindled and they began communicating more and more, growing their friendship. I love that they have letters from the beginning of their love story! They will both tell you that they became best friends, then fell in love...perfection!
Their wedding was on a gorgeous Saturday afternoon at the Spencer Country Inn. The grounds and her gown were flawless!
Her hair and make up were done by Vicki Manchester and her team from Hey Good Look'n Salon and Relaxation Center. Gorgeous!
Her details were so lovely! I am in love with these colors!! Her stunning bouquet was created by Mary Ellen Fairbanks at Cameron & Fairbanks Florist. Love her something blue! And her gift to her soldier was absolutely perfect!
The guys had a lot of fun hanging out before the ceremony. This was definitely a wedding about family!
Laurie was surrounded by family as she got ready for the ceremony, as well.
She made an incredibly stunning bride!
Beauty obviously runs in the family!
Laurie's matron of honor, Valerie, shared a beautiful gift with the bride. They have been friends since their teenage years as well, and Valerie had a custom necklace created for her that mapped out their friendship through the years. So sweet!
A few formals with the ladies....
The bride and groom did not want to see each other before the ceremony, but did share a sweet intimate moment together....
Laurie's son walked his mom down the aisle and the ceremony began...
Ring security was present...
"I am my beloved's and my beloved is mine...."
Mr. & Mrs. Rodgers..... And their beautiful family...
This has to be my all time favorite cake topper! :) Cake and cupcakes created by Briana Brusa at Cake Addictions by Bri
The couple was introduced as husband and wife and began the reception with their first dance as a married couple
The bride's sisters toasted the couple (including a nod to The Brady Bunch) and the couple cut the delicious cake...
They enjoyed visiting with their guests before dinner and the kids definitely had a blast!
Laurie tossed the bouquet and the party kicked off! DJ Nathan Bishop from Get Down Tonight Entertainment, Inc. created such a fun atmosphere!
Congratulations to Laurie and Chris! Wishing you a lifetime of love and happiness!
