They had no idea that they had just met their other half when they met in a garage at work, scaring Mary-Kathryn half to death! They both worked in EMS and quickly bonded over their love of all things space, Disney and travel. Neither of them were exactly available when they met, but their friendship grew and they were both grateful to have met someone that would try everyday to bring a smile to the other's face. MK would bake cookies for Brian and his ambulance partner. Brian would leave inflated 'glove turkeys' around for her to find.
Brian finally decided to invite her out for a date riding ATVs and she said yes!
It was a cold wintery day in December at the Renaissance Boston Patriot Place Hotel & Spa when they prepared to say their vows in elegant hotel rooms overlooking the
New England Patriots Gillette Stadium.
Mary Kathryn was absolutely glowing when I arrived! Hair beautifully done
by 'Weddings by Tina Marie'
Her bridesmaids and mother joined us as she dressed, touched up her make up and counted down the minutes until she would get to see her groom.
Doesn't she just look absolutely stunning! She wore her mother's vintage veil, timeless!
The bride & groom chose to have a first look, so we would have time outdoors before the sun set to do photos. I love this intimate time between them when they first see each other on their wedding day, so very special! This one, however, was like no other. The groom got permission from Robert Kraft for us to shoot their first look on the field inside Gillette Stadium!!! And the very best part is that the bride had no idea this was going to happen! We were just walking towards the gate when she realized that something truly unbelievable could be about to happen and said "Wait, are we going on the field?!?!" Followed by shreiks of
"How did he do this!!?!?"
And then the bridal party and the bride and groom's parents joined us for this amazing experience! As a photgrapher, and a life-long Patriots fan, I can't imagine a better day at work!
I'm pretty sure that the guys felt the same way about being there...
And the ladies, too! And don't forget the parents...
All around an unforgettable experience, for all of us, that I am truly grateful for!
Let's not forget to mention the beautiful bouquets by Lovell's Florist and Nursery of Medfield.
And a few more formal shots outside the stadium...
Brian and Mary-Kathryn had a classic, simple ceremony full of joy.
And there were tears of joy all around!
And when the ceremony finished and the receiving line faded the bridal party
was ready to party!
And this gorgeous couple was definitely ready to celebrate!!
The guests enjoyed cocktail hour. Really, they enjoyed it!
DJ Rick Bellanti of Bell-Aire Music Productions & Event Lighting kicked off the reception introducing the happy couple in to the ballroom for their first dance as husband and wife.
And then when Mary-Kathryn danced with her father, a retired fire cheif, there
wasn't a dry eye to be found.
When it came time for the toasts the Maid of Honor began...and she was a bit...unorthodox... :)
The best man kept it a bit more traditional...
Montillio's Bakery of Quincy created the beautiful cake. The cake read "Happily ever after" around one tier, just like a Disney fairytale...
Then it came time for the dancing. Oh the dancing! There was plenty of 'this could happen at any wedding', regular folks dancing. We'll start with some of that...
The crowd got a bit more lively...
But the invitation warned that after the ceremony there would be "Dinner, Drinks & Awkward but Enthusiastic Dancing to Follow"...and it did NOT disappoint!
And somewhere in the middle of their winter fairytale wedding it started to snow! The bride and groom joined me outside to dance in the snowfall with Gillette Stadium as our backdrop...
It was an honor to be a part of their wedding day and I wish Brian and Mary-Kathryn a life full of twirling, exploring, and supporting each other for all the rest of your magical adventures for the rest of your happily ever after!
